About the Journal
Pulmon is the official publication of the Academy of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Pulmon is indexed in Index Copernicus. It is an open-access journal. Ever since its introduction, this journal is being published regularly. Past editors worked hard to maintain the quality of the journal. Pulmon was first published in 1999.
The main purpose of such a publication is to encourage academy members in scientific publication and research work. By publishing our research work, case reports and experience we will have a better understanding of local scenario.
Having an indexed journal as an official publication is a pride to our association. APCCM will be recognized as a scientific body worldwide and will be considered in guideline formation and policy decisions.
Peer Review Process
All submissions, except Editorial, Presidential Address, and book and movie reviews will be screened by the Editors and suitable articles will be forwarded for peer review. Each manuscript will be reviewed by two or more peer reviewers. We follow the principle of blind peer review, i.e., the manuscripts will be forwarded to the reviewers in such a way that they will not get to know the identity or other details of the authors. No person is permitted to take any role in the peer review of a paper in which they have an interest, defined as follows: fees or grants from, employment by, consultancy for, shared ownership in, or any close relationship with, an organization whose interests, financial or otherwise, may be affected by the publication of the paper. The average review time would be 2-4 weeks.
The Journal will be published three times a year. April, August, December
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Plagiarism can occur in two forms: 1) author(s) intentionally copy someone else's work and claim it to be their own, or 2) author(s) copy her or his own previously published material either in full or in part, without providing appropriate references.
Pulmon actively checks for plagiarism using Google, Grammarly, and the free online plagiarism checker tool, http://www.duplichecker.com.
Whenever plagiarism is detected in parts of a manuscript, we reject the submission. If the author(s) submit a revised draft, we will send it again for peer review.
If the entire manuscript is found to be plagiarized, we reject it and we will not entertain any resubmissions.
The Journal reserves the right to reject any advertisement considered unsuitable according to our set policies.
